HOW IT WORKS 
As a participant in the Virtual MLK Dream Run, you will receive Official Race Results, a reusable Nike water bottle & training towel, additional swag from participating sponsors, and one raffle ticket. These will be available for pick up at the Soul District Headquarters located at 6607 NE MLK Jr. Blvd beginning the week of October 14 and through October 31, . Participating in the virtual race and being in the Official MLK Dream Run Results is super easy!
1. A week prior to the race you will receive an email with your Virtual Race Bib and the link to submit results.

2. When the race officially starts on Saturday, October 17th you will receive an email and text message welcoming you to the race.

3. You will have between Saturday, October 17th and end of day Saturday, October 31st to complete you run on a course you choose and submit your race result.

You can run alone or with a small team (4-6) of housemates (Be sure to follow CDC guideline)

You can run down your favorite street, through your favorite park or you can run the traditional MLK
Dream Run Route already marked, See PDF files of Course Maps below:

4. Share your experience on social media pre and post run and tag us @MLKDreamRun
 
5. Submission of your race results can be done via web form or text message.
 
6. When submitting your results, you will have the option to include a link to your Strava or Garmin
Connect activity. If you do this, your results will be marked as Verified. If you don't have one of these apps, you can install Strava from your phone's app store and run with your phone.

 
When you report your results, you will be able to upload photos of your race to go into the Official MLK Dream Run Race Photo Gallery.

Race results will be produced online and ranked in the following categories: overall, gender, and age group.

Matter Youth Media Project and PDX Black Rose Podcast and Video Training programs. Covid-19 has revealed so many things about how we operate in the world, including the need to help advance technology abled skills sets as part of preparing the workforce of tomorrow. With your support of our fundraising efforts through the MLK Dream Run we can continue elevating our community by provide training for minority and disadvantaged youth ages 16-24 so they compete in the real world marketplace.
